Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is becoming increasingly important for companies and stakeholders. The credible commitment to good corporate governance is essential to act as a good corporate citizen. However, it is the time to come to demonstrate the added value of the chosen strategy and to put on explicitly accountable. Against the background of the considerable financial expenses for CSR, also to demonstrate that CSR is not an end in itself, the article deals conceptually with how this challenge might be addressed in the context of value-based management.
The article refers to the growing importance of CSR. In addition to a credible commitment to good corporate governance, the time will come to demonstrate the added value to its shareholders. Against the background of considerable expenses for CSR, the article deals conceptually with how this challenge might be addressed in the context of value-based management.
