- Hella Engerer studied economics at the Eberhard Karls University Tübingen and the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. She received her doctorate in 1997 at the Free University of Berlin. Since 1990 she has been a research associate at the German Institute for Economic Research, currently in the Department of Energy, Transport, Environment. Her work in the energy sector includes aspects of security of supply and oil and gas trade.
