Abstract
Die intensive und systematische Auseinandersetzung mit zukünftigen Entwicklungen stellt für Unternehmen, die in einem komplexen und hochdynamischen Wettbewerbsumfeld agieren, eine erfolgsrelevante Aktivität dar. Die bisherige Forschung zum Thema Corporate Foresight war bislang auf Grossunternehmen sowie die Methoden- und Instrumentenebene fokussiert.
In diesem Beitrag wird eine Studie vorgestellt, die sich umfassend mit der Ausgestaltung von Foresight-Systemen befasst und dabei explizit auch die Besonderheiten von kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen berücksichtigt. Neben den eingesetzten Instrumenten werden die organisatorische Ausgestaltung des Corporate Foresight, die Prozessebene sowie die Rolle der Unternehmenskultur untersucht. Das Ziel ist es, potentielle Erfolgsfaktoren zu identifizieren.
