Abstract
The Federal Climate Protection Act offers no efficient protection of future generations. Although it sets ambitious goals to reduce greenhouse gas emission, it lacks the legal means to ensure their realization. In order to achieve the envisaged greenhouse gas reduction, a comprehensive societal transformation process is needed that must be coordinated throughout all levels. To this end, the Federal Climate Protection Act must be reinforced. Also, the development of a cross-sectoral climate protection law, that translates the abstract climate goals into concrete measures and processes in the various legal fields, is required. In this respect, the article concentrates on administrative law. Climate administrative law does not only entail the transformation of society to a greenhouse gas-neutral system, but must also ensure climate justice in the sense of social compatibility.
