Abstract
Abstract: On 24 March 2021 the German Federal Constitutional Court issued its highly anticipated order on the German Federal Climate Change Act. The order is a textbook example of a Court deciding issues concerning community interests. This contribution analyses whether cases such as the one before the German Court concern individual rights or the plaintiffs to some extent act as agents of the international community, whether courts are adequately equipped to decide cases involving community interests and how the Court handled the separation of powers.
