  • Dr. Erik Gustafsson is a postdoctoral researcher and senior lecturer at the Unit for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Department of Economy and Society, School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. His primary interest lies in entrepreneurship in creative industries, especially fashion. Through qualitative research methods, he explores the role of knowledge intensity and the concept of value for the advancement of creative industries, more recently in relation to sustainable transition. Dr. Gustafsson has previously been published in Journal of Social Entrepreneurship and on Routledge. He is also co-chair of the Creative Entrepreneurship Tracks of EURAM.

  • Dr. Sara Malou Strandvad is Associate Professor in Arts Sociology at the Department of Arts, Culture and Media at University of Groningen. A sociologist whose research concerns creative work and production studies, her research has been published in Cultural Sociology, Cultural Studies, International Journal of Cultural Studies and elsewhere. Her research includes a.o. a study of development processes in Danish film production and a study of the valuation processes in a design school entrance exam. Her current research is about cultural entrepreneurship of artists in the North of the Netherlands.

Abstract

Ziel dieses Beitrags ist es, das Verständnis von Unternehmertum in der Kreativwirtschaft konzeptionell zu bereichern. Es wird hierbei die Notwendigkeit betont, die Terminologie zu spezifizieren, welche zur Beschreibung von Kulturunternehmerinnen und -unternehmern verwendet wird, da die aktuellen Definitionen und Verwendungen in der Cultural Entrepreneurship Forschung stark variieren. Dieser Umstand trägt nicht dazu bei, ein tiefgreifendes Verständnis des Phänomens zu generieren. Es wird aufgezeigt, dass knowledge-intensive innovative entrepreneurship (KIE) ein geeigneter theoretischer Ansatz für die Weiterentwicklung der Forschung zum Unternehmertum in der Kreativwirtschaft ist, da der Schwerpunkt auf Wissensvielfalt liegt. Durch die Untersuchung vorhandener Literatur zu KIE in der Kreativwirtschaft und Unternehmertum als Faktor in der Soziologie der Kulturproduktion verbindet der Beitrag Erkenntnisse aus beiden Bereichen, um ein besseres Verständnis dafür zu generieren, wie Unternehmertum in Kunst und kreativer Arbeit angegangen, beobachtet und analysiert werden kann. Der Fokus wird daher auf den Schlüsselaspekt der Wertschöpfung gelegt, indem die Bedeutung und Definitionen von Wert und Bewertung gegenüberstellt werden und eine neue konzeptionelle Definition des kulturellen KIE-Unternehmens vorgeschlagen wird.
