Abstract

Diese Studie erhebt in den Kategorien Bildung, Arbeit, Einkommen, Wohnen, Gesundheit, Straffälligkeit, soziale Situation und Hilfesituation das hohe Ausmaß der beeinträchtigenden objektiven Lebensbedingungen von älteren wohnungslosen Männern in ambulant und stationär betreuten Wohnformen. Dabei zeigt sich bei der Mehrheit des Personenkreises, dass die Beeinträchtigungen bereits im Kindes- und Jugendalter beginnen und sich über die Lebensspanne hinweg anhäufen. Im Gegensatz dazu stehen die subjektiven Lebensbedingungen. So äußern sich die meisten älteren wohnungslosen Männer zufrieden über Wohnsituation und Lebensstandard, bewerten ihren Gesundheitszustand positiv und geben sowohl dem Bereich Beschäftigung/Arbeit als auch den angebotenen Hilfen in allen Lebensbereichen eine hohe Bedeutung.

Old und Homeless in Bavaria – a Study about the Situation of Life of Elderly Homeless Men in Care Forms of Housing

This study collects the high dimensions of objective adverse living conditions of elderly homeless men in out-patient and in-patient care forms of housing in the categories education, work, income, housing, health, conviction, social situation and help circumstances. As a result the majority of the group of people shows, that the restrictions already begin during childhood and youth and accumulate for the span of lifetime. The subjective living conditions conflict sharply with that. So most elderly men comment to be satisfied with their housing conditions and the standard of living; they assess their state of health in a positive way and attach a high importance to the field activity/work as well as the offered help in all areas of life.
