Abstract
Rule instead of science
With the demand for political correctness for scientific knowledge, the dispute over a non -science, ideological influence on research and teaching is currently widespread. It is essentially sociological in nature, but raises scientific and legal follow -up problems. The article outlines basic terms and considerations. The basis is an understanding of science from a modern, more pragmatic than theoretical, philosophy of knowledge. It allows different knowledge of the knowledge of humanities, including analytic (logical, mathematical), and empirical way to classify together as "scientific-methodical" and yet to draw the-as always fuzzy-limits to everyday knowledge as well as ideology and charlatanism. The current threats to the autonomy of research and teaching are thus more clearly recognizable - in the distinction to the freedom of science, which is legally secured in the basic law.
