Abstract
Abstract: “Leave No One Behind” – A Feminist Perspective on the Design of Social Protection Systems
The article highlights the added value of a feminist perspective on social protection policy and specifies how this can be taken into account when designing the system. The continuum of the integration of gender justice, which ranges from gender-discriminatory to gender-transformative, serves as an analytical tool. The analysis shows which socio-political impulses can be set to counter discrimination and inequality and to promote transformation. However, it also raises awareness of the fact that social protection is limited in its ability to break down unjust structures. Transformation can only succeed if policy measures are interlinked and power imbalances and injustice are also overcome in other areas.
