Description
The German Journal of Real Estate Research (GJRER) published by gif e. V. occupies a unique position in the academic journal market. As the only peer-reviewed open access journal in the German-speaking market, it offers academics the opportunity to publish their real estate research in English or German on a renowned platform – always with a high degree of practical relevance.
The GJRER pursues an interdisciplinary approach and is committed to the close integration of science and business practice in the real estate industry. In particular, it offers German real estate research an international stage and promotes scientific exchange across national borders.
Thematically, the journal addresses the following topics in particular, without being limited to them:
Issues in the field of property utilisation, dealing, for example, with life cycle costs, urban and regional planning, construction and settlement area management, or the management of real estate operating resources in the service provision process of companiesIssues in the areas of real estate investment and real estate capital investment, dealing, for example, with the explanation of real estate market developments, methods of real estate valuation, real estate financing or real estate investment vehicles.
- Issues relating to governance structures in the real estate industry and the management of real estate companies.
- Issues relating to research and teaching in the real estate industry.
- Issues relating to political instruments for controlling real estate industry processes, e.g. incidence analysis of taxes, levies or changes to tenancy law.
- Issues relating to real estate economics. These can be both microeconomic and macroeconomic issues.
The journal covers all types of real estate use, in particular commercial and residential real estate, and also aims to provide a forum for interdisciplinary topics relating to the real estate industry throughout the entire life cycle.
